The Krishak Bandu is a financial assistant programme run by the Government of WB to help the farmers with cash benefits. Every financial year it is received in two instalments for the kharif and rabi seasons so the farmers can cover the input costs such as seed, labour and fertiliser.
For the financial year 2025-26, the first instalment for the kharif season was received among the eligible farmers between June and July, and now they all are waiting for the second instalment for the rabi season, which is received between December and January.
Under the terms of this scheme, an eligible farmer can get up to ₹10,000 for each financial year, which means that each instalment is a maximum of ₹5,000. Read this article thoroughly to check the payment for the rabi season will be received, and much more.
