The Ladli Behna Yojana is administered by the Women and Child Development Ministry, Government of Madhya Pradesh, meaning they are responsible for sending the payments. Under this scheme, payments are received at the end of the first ten days of each month.
Under this scheme, the 31st instalment was received in December 2025. The 32nd instalment will now be received in January 2026. While there is no official confirmation regarding the payment date, it is likely to be disbursed around the 9th or 10th of the month.
Eligibility Criteria
To avail yourself of the benefits of the Ladli Behna Yojana, it is essential that you meet the requirements set by officials:
- You are an Indian citizen and live in Madhya Pradesh.
- You are a woman who is married, divorced, widowed or abandoned.
- Your age should not be less than 21 years or more than 60 years.
- Your family’s annual income should not exceed 2.5 lakh rupees.
- You must have applied, i.e., submitted an application for the LBY, either online or offline.
- You must have completed your KYC either through the web portal or by visiting a nearby Common Service Center.
- You have seeded your bank account with your Aadhaar.
If you are an existing beneficiary of this scheme, meaning you have received payments under this scheme before, then you don’t need to worry; you will receive your payment smoothly.
Payment Amount
If you are a beneficiary of the LBY, the 32nd instalment you will receive will be ₹1250. You may have read in some news that this amount has been increased to ₹1500, but nothing has been announced officially regarding this, nor has any reliable media portal confirmed it.
Important Notes
Two things that can hold up your payment are, first, incomplete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification for the Ladli Bahna Yojana, and second, your bank account not being seeded to your Aadhaar.
Checking whether your KYC is complete or not is not a big problem; you simply need to visit the scheme’s official website and check for your name in the list. If your name is in the list, then there is no problem.
The most essential requirement for receiving payments is that your bank account is seeded to your Aadhaar. You can check its status by logging in to the UIDAI portal, for which it is necessary that you have the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar available.
If your bank account is not seeded to your Aadhaar card, you will need to visit your bank branch and submit a handwritten application along with a copy of your Aadhaar card. Your request will be processed within one week.
