23andMe $50M Data Breach Settlement: Who’s Eligible & How Much You Can Get?

23andMe is a consumer genetics and biotechnology company in the United States; it has recently agreed to the settlement of $50 million to resolve a class action lawsuit filed against the company for a cybersecurity incident. It is going to the individuals who were affected by it.

Back in October 2023, the company disclosed that the hackers accessed their computer and accessed the private information of millions of individuals. After that, class action lawsuits were filed against them with allegations of not taking appropriate measures to protect data.

Later, multiple class action lawsuits were consolidated, and then month-long negotiations took place, after which the company agreed to the settlement but did not accept any wrongdoing. Read this article thoroughly to check if you are eligible to get a payout from it.

Settlement Overview
